this week’s featured shop is centered around the lovely online boutique mr. & mrs. p. which is run by husband and wife duo evan and paola parsons. below is a quote from their website about how their little shop got started, as well as my favorite picks this week…
“Mr. & Mrs. P is the pet project of designers and writer (respectively), Evan and Paola Parsons. Over coffees in bed one lazy Sunday morning, the LA based husband and wife team dreamed up a little shop where they could sell a curated array of home, kitchen, and lifestyle goods that meshed with their aesthetic for sustainable and stylish living. In that instant, Mr. & Mrs. P was born.”

i love visiting dwell on a daily basis, but this morning my adoration entered a whole new level when i saw this this renovated brooklyn brownstone. every little detail of this house makes me want to jump out of my chair and clap my hands together like a raging fool. that dining room alone feels just so magical and light and airy and pretty. (trust me, i could go on and on)
enjoy the entire home tour right here.
i’m just loving this unique hand drawn branding and textile project for “TWTH atelier” designed by bordeaux based design studio bmd design. the raw and vintage vibe holds such a wonderful and unique characteristic and is a solid foundation to display the company’s mission and history visually.

i am geeking out over all of the amazing art that society 6 has been featuring as of late. and the very best part? the website not only features a multitude of talented artist but also a wonderful supply of prints, iphone /ipad covers, canvases, cards and throw pillows to spruce up any part of your daily routine.
check out some of my favorite throw pillows above with links to purchase below. mixing and matching has never been so fun!

the pure beauty of these farmhouse renovation photos featured on dwell’s home tours stopped me right in my internet surfing tracks. the rustic beauty featured throughout the entire farmhouse is the perfect balance of hard and soft, modern and vintage. the natural light, original features and improved additions make this space one of my favorites.
check out the rest of the tour here.
i’m a huge fan of stitch design co. in fact i’ve featured their work in this column before, but when i came across their identity work for an event company called hobknob, i just couldn’t help myself from gushing about this charleston firm once more.
the whimsical and colorful patterns, icons and alternate typefaces are spot on and they all provide a unique and fun aesthetic that carries through many different pieces. see the full identity pieces featured on designworklife here.
i’m a little past due on this post being that it’s already february and all, but i still wanted to let you all in on this free downloadable calendar that i just happened to stumble upon while perusing a blog called musla. a joint collaboration between the blog’s owner kirsikka simberg and an illustrator named eija whom she follows on instagram, this 2013 calendar features all twelve months laid out perfectly, complete with it’s own unique illustration for each month.
this joint collaboration was created to inspire and provide a free gift for all of us who appreciate great art and design, but just don’t have the time or resources to create our own unique calendar. download the pdf and print yours out right here.
happy weekend friends, i hope it’s a great one!
happy thursday! i’m super excited to be adding a new feature to the blog called “shop this” where each week i’ll highlight some of my favorite items from a creative shop and/or boutique that i’ve recently come across. some features will be local, some online shops, even a few etsy picks here and there, but all items will be loaded with great aesthetic and can be sure to serve as an awesome gift guide if you’re in need of one.
below are some of my favorite picks from this weeks online shop, best made company which features some really great gifts for guys, but i wouldn’t mind receiving any of their rugged and wonderfully designed items any day of the week.
